Baby Blanket for Natalie

Tonight I finished a baby blanket for Miss Natalie!! I made a "granny motif" blanket for a friend a few months ago and swore I would never make another one. The first one turned out beautifully, but it was just time consuming (but my wonderful friend deserved it!!). So when I picked out the blanket I wanted to make for Natalie, I was surprised when I saw how this one was made. It only took about 2 months...maybe just one. But I'm so thrilled with the outcome! Now I'm working on a little crocheted dress. As soon as that is done, I'm going to take a picture of everything I've made since I was 5 months prego.....and I've been a busy bee!!

Here we are at 36 weeks!!!

Healer

I came across this song while reading another CaringBridge author :)  She is very young and is from my home town, Jackson MS. She also has a rare type of Sarcoma and as of yesterday, she was told she was CANCER FREE!!!! She will be singing a song called Healer, sung by Hillsong and Kari Jobe, at her church this weekend. The words hit really close to home. Check them out!

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging seas
You walk with me through fire
And heal all my disease

I trust in you
I trust in you

I believe
You're my healer
I believe
You are all i need
I believe
You're my portion
I believe
You're more than enough for me
Jesus, you're all i need

Nothing is impossible for you
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for you
You hold my world in your hands

In case you didn't know.....

I may be MIA for a while on my blog!!

Chris starts Chemo on Monday on a 12 week cycle. I started a CaringBridge website just for our journey so I'll be updating that regularly. I don't want to turn this blog into a "cancer" blog.....I'm only going to post happy moments. Which will probably be all about the rest of my pregnancy and WC!

Check out www.caringbridge.org/visit/christrobough

This is going to be a long hard journey, but THANK GOD we have the support from family and friends and we have the Word to keep us uplifted when we feel down!

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Friday-Sunday in Clarksville, TN with my in-laws! We were so happy that everyone could make it, even though it was a short visit! We also celebrated my m-i-l and f-i-l's 34th wedding anniversary! How special!

We are blessed

We are blessed to have such a tight nit small group. Jeremy, Krista, and their boys are moving soon to another town in Ohio. They were our small group leaders and such amazing people! They've had a huge impact on our family and I know God will continue to bless them!! They will be missed :(

Sweet Little Girls

WC loves having friends over. Especially these two fun little ladies! We recently had them over after a play date at the park for lunch and they all decided it would be a good idea to get 'neked' and play in our little pool. Their booties were so cute and dimply :) I wish I could say the same about mine!
