Ponytailing it up

Yesterday a friend watched WC for us and she put a cute little ponytail in her hair! I hadn't even thought of trying that look yet but I LOVE it. I think it's absolutely adorable! She doesn't have a lot of hair so it's fun to be able to do something with it :)

Fun at the park

She LOVES the slide! She usually goes down backwards on her belly :)

So much fun!!

How far along am I REALLY?

So I got a little curious and wanted to compare belly pics when I was 12 weeks with Whitley Claire and now my 12 week pic of T2.  Well.....I found a 12 week picture with WC and here is what I looked like:

Then I looked at my belly pic taken this past Friday of T2 and here is what I look like:

Yeah I am WAY bigger in this picture at 12 weeks with T2! So I compared it with this picture when I was 21 weeks pregnant with WC:

Crazy huh?

Tired Baby

I love looking at pictures of other people's kids that fall asleep in funny positions or something of the sort. Well, yesterday I had my chance to capture a funny moment with WC! Poor girl was tired from a busy morning at the gym then the commissary. About 2 miles from our house she started to fall asleep while eating this cracker. I loved watching her doze off them just pass out. I was hoping that the cracker wouldn't fall off by the time I got home so I ran inside and grabbed the camera!!! Every time I look at this it cracks me up!

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we went to a cookout and Easter Egg Hunt at a friends house! We had such a fun time eating and hanging out with friends. I was very surprised that WC actually understood what to do with the eggs when she found them! It's so fun to watch her toddle around!!!

Three Fold Communion

Once a quarter at our church, Grace Community Church, they offer communion. It's called "Three Fold Communion" and it's a way the church remembers the Lord's last supper by having a "bread and cup" communion. It begins with a Fellowship Meal, then feet washing, then Bread and Cup. That's what makes up the "Three".

We practice the Bread and Cup in obedience to Chris, observing this as a symbol of love until He returns and this act reminds each believer the price HE paid for us.
“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26

Now the foot washing is something that Chris and I didn't take part of this time, just because it was our first time sharing communion with this church (Sad though that we've been there over a year and haven't been able to make it to a communion yet!!) and we wanted to see what it was like and why the do this.  It was amazing to watch and so beautiful to hear everyone singing while they do this.  Chris and I stayed in the main area so I watched the men. Just to hear their voices singing and to watch such a humbling act was a real eye opener. Yeah, I thought it was weird that they wash each others feet, but you REALLY have to be there to witness this.
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet” John 13:14
The reason they practice foot washing is because it is a reminder of our need for daily cleansing from sin. It's a symbol of love and a very meaningful time for believers.  I can't say whether or not I'll participate next time, it's something I am going to pray about because I don't want to be a follower and just do it, but I want to do it when I really and truly understand the meaning.

I grew up in the Church of Christ so we had communion every Sunday. I do miss having communion once a week, but to have this kind of ceremony and just listen to people pour our their hearts and let them share what communion means to them is really special. You're not just passing the bread or cup around and taking part of a "ritual", but you are really listening to people share why they believe in God.

And what an awesome time to be able to share communion with people you love and care for on Good Friday!

Toddler Days

I guess I officially have a toddler now...what is the exact age when they become one?  Whitley Claire doesn't crawl at all anymore :)  It's so cute to watch her walk around and I am LOVING her being able to walk.  You always hear that once they start walking, they get in to a whole new level of trouble..but I am really enjoying her being able to walk. I don't have to carry her everywhere. So my back and wrist doesn't hurt that much! She had fun walking around in Home Depot tonight going up to everything and touching it. So cute!
