Adjusting to life as a mom of two!

So this is WC's new favorite place to play....In our guest bathroom sink! Which is also her bathroom. It took me a while to catch her in the act, but one day I snuck around the corner and saw how this little monkey gets in the sink! She stands on the toilet, puts her feet on the toilet paper roll, then climbs on in! She loves to brush her teeth and this is what she does while she has her "quiet" time in the bathroom. I try and keep the bathroom door closed because I'm not sure she knows how to get out.....

Introcuding Natalie Marie

Natalie Marie Trobough was born Monday morning at 3:29 AM! And what an surprise!! Didn't think I'd go in to labor 10 days early....especially since I was scheduled to be induced on Friday. I must say that God answered my prayers here.....I didn't really WANT to be induced, but we made that decision because it was the smartest..just with Chris starting Chemo the next week. I wanted to try and go naturally this time, but I'd heard with Pitocin that that would be a difficult thing to accomplish! So not only was Chris able to be there, but I was able to go naturally!! However, I have to admit that I asked for an epidural close to the end...and I got it, but I was too far along to feel it so I went through that needle stick and now I have the sore back from the actual medicine. BUT, feeling labor with no medicine was such an amazing experience. I am glad it's over, but happy that I had that experience!!!

Labor Day

I keep forgetting to blog about sweet little Natalie who is just getting bigger and bigger in my belly. She is scheduled to arrive this Friday! She isn't due until the 21st, but I had to make a really tough decision for myself! The week she is due is the week that Chris will be feeling the effects from his chemo and he probably wouldn't have been able to make it to the birth. So we decided to induce the week he'll be inpatient in the hospital receiving his chemo so he can just come to the birthing center when he feels good and be at the birth (hopefully).

I don't see anything wrong with people being induced, but for me, I wanted her to come as naturally as possible. But it is best to have this scheduled just to have someone here to labor with me and someone with WC. So Chris's mom and sisters are coming up Thursday to help out! Should be a fun time :)

I am SO READY to be "un-pregnant" :) There is so much pressure "down there" that I feel like I want to pop! I have been 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced for a while. I hope that this next week my body does something to get this show on the road! I am taking evening primrose oil and drinking red raspberry leaf tea to help my body get ready. I won't go into details in case someone gets grossed out :)

There are a few tests I have to take this week to make sure I don't have preeclamsia. For the past couple of appointments, I've had high blood pressure. I don't think I do but the docs just want to make sure!!

Can't wait for baby day :)
